Default EZ-GO PDS Field Map #4 File

Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the field map file for an alltrax dcx500 on a 2000 ezgo TXT pds with stock motor? I believe it's field map #4. I've emailed alltrax for info but no luck. The controller was originally purchased for a Yamaha G19 and was sent with a field map #8. Thanks in advance for your help.

So tell us a little about your cart, Irod007. We may as well use this thread to boost your post count now!

Hello 720Deere,

I bought a 2000 EZ-GO TXT PDS late last summer for driving to the tennis courts and pool. It's pretty much stock everything, but now that I've had it for 4 mo. I want to make it better. The first thing that I've noticed as something needed is the torque. I live in somewhat of a hilly area and the wife had complained of the golf cart struggling when going to her friends house. I know that if I want more torque I would need to increase current. I found an alltrax dcx500 for really cheap on ebay and ended up with winning bid. I got all the pieces needed to upgrade (PDS adapter, solenoids, cables, diode and resistor) but no field map to support the stock motor.

I appreciate you guys taking a look and helping me out. I'm sure I will be posting a lot more questions once I get going with replacing the controller.

Oh boy, your wife would hate my cart if she doesn't like how a cart on stock tires responds to hills. Big tires make a big difference in that department and not for the better. I can run 23 mph on flat ground, but drop down to 12-13 on the hills. A DCX500 is in my future.

I wish I could help you, but all I can really do is help you get the number of posts that you need so you can message kgsc to get your map. I guess if you wanted it bad enough you could just post your email address in this thread.

Believe or not you did help me, I was happy to see my pm privies appear a little after I replied to your post.

I hope the dcx500 is not too much, I only got it because it was a lot cheaper than the dcx400.

Thanks again 720Deere!

The beauty of the 500 is you can dial it back to only 400 if you need to yet if you upgrade your motor at some point you will not need to upgrade your controller! Glad to hear that the PM magic appeared for you.

I feel 400a is max for a happy life for stock PDS motor. NEVER use gas pedal to hold on hills, use brake. (i know, seems dumb, but motor wont last a year if you do not follow this)

That's excellent advice cgtech... thank you for that! If I do bring it down to 400a, do I still need to replace the solenoid or could i keep using the stock one?

Thanks again!
