98 resistor very hot
98 e z go will not go forward or reverse. Solenoid replaced, cleaned all battery cables and replaced 3 of them. The reverse buzzer did not work, unplugged the red wire connector, replugged it and now the buzzer sounds in reverse. Solenoid only clicks , but not in neutral, which I think is good. The resistor that goes from the large post on solenoid gets extremely hot within seconds of the batteries being reconnected even with the switch off. . Do I have a bad resistor, diode or what. What is the general opinion of Altrax speed controller. This is a series cart used to carry myself, wife and 3 little dogs riding around 2 acres. All connections are tight.

Re: 98 resistor very hot
IMHO, If three of the cables are bad enough to be replaced then finish the job and replace the rest.....Then, if trouble persists, take a long look at your controller. As previously suggested....
