controller upgrade question

36 volt 93 ez-go has a stock motor and all new cables i picked up a curtis 400 amp. controller and a pb-6 and a new 36 volt solinoid at a deal i could not pass up. they appear to be the exact same set up as the stock parts with the same wiring hook ups with the exception of the wires that go to the old speed control that the pb-6 is replacing. i dont kow what wires go to the micro switch on the pb-6 can anyone help with a wiring diagram or somthing.

There should be 4 wires from the pot box- 2 will be black and 2 will be white. One set of the black and white wires will have a longer lenght and the other set will be shorter. The longer length is intended to go to the half speed reverse double micro on the f/R switch. The short lenghth goes to the number 2 and 3 post on the controller. It really does not matter which color goes on the posts of the controller. If you do not want to use the half speed feature leave it unconnected. Hope this helps.

these are the three wires that i have that i dont know where to put them and i dont want to fry the new controller. the conroller and the new solinoid look exactly like what is on the cart but i thought this cart came with a resistor not a pb-6 and 400 amp controller is this possibly not an upgrade for me but a simple replacement.

I think your orig would have been a 275 amp?

so what do i do whith the three wires in the pics. do these go on the micro switch on the new pb-6 and if so in what order ? i can send pics of the new pb-6 and new curtis controller if this wll help you help me. thank you for your help with this matter.

If your cart already had a controller, you can use your existing throttle, no need for pb6. Swap one wire at a time from old controller to new, and your good to go.

that's great but won't the pb-6 give me more speed and longer run time than the stok unit.

negative. the pb6 & controller combo only does that to a resistor coil cart which yours is not! You already have a controller and modern potentiometer. Have fun....bigger controller will allow you to draw more juice as needed.

so if i put these in i still have to but a better motor to get more speed or run time .if this is correct i should just leave well enough alone because there is no benifit the way i see it right.

Okay.......the controller is a gate valve to the batteries.
It is up to you but I would put it in . And see what you are missing.
