Default Alltrax Controller

I already have an Alltraz 48400 controller that I have NIB. Since I am converting to 48v I was wondering would it be best to go ahead and upgrade to the 48500? How big a difference is there b/w the 400 and the 500?
Thanks

Depends on your load and hills. I have a 500 amp controller on a series buggy with a speed motor, and with four people starting from a dead stop on our steepest hill, it only momentarily hits over 400 amps. Generally it's way below that. If you have a hunting buggy with a torque motor, it may make more of a difference in hilly terrain with a load of dead deer.

Also, with 48 volts, you will need less amps to perform the same work as with 36 volts.

Yes it will be a hunting buggy with mainly flat ground. I do plan on running a torque motor as I am not so worried about the speed right now!

400 is small for an aftermarket motor - Use a 500a control, 400a solenoid, and 2g cables for best results
