Default 2004 EZ Go- She Rode out IKE- Help

Bought 2004 Rebuilt in 2007 Ez Go from a Cart store in Houston. She rode out hurricane IKE in Galveston. I'm new here and trying to get her running again. So far installed a new charger receptacle, removed all batteries, cleaned entire cart including battery cage and repainted all metal. tested and recharged batteries to full, reads 43 volts across the 6 batteries. When i turn on switch, I hear a click or thump in the box by the batteries but no go. should I leave it to the pros or its there something to try first? Rear lights work headlights don't. It is lifted and has custom paint so I don't want to throw in the towel. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check ITS under driver floormat.
Probably need to change rear end oil.
I'd pull motor and crack the case if it were me.

Others will add more I'm sure.

BeachBum,
If the motor is damaged (which I doubt) I have the stock motor that I took off my 2006 PDS cart, for sale.

FYI - It can be a big deal with all the electronics involved, especially if you have limited knowledge / experience. Not saying you can't do it, but expect many hours of frustration, checking, cleaning and experimenting trying to find out what electrical parts were damaged. But there's plenty of good and reliable advice here, too

PS - No insurance coverage? Homeowners policies should cover the damage / repairs at a certified shop. We have some of our carts sold down there and insurance wrote off as a total loss...
