97 txt surges when pedal pressed
When press pedal cart surges in the direction of f/r switch. Sometimes it doesn't move at all. Just replaced f/r switch and all wires. Any ideas. Thanks

Was it working like this before you replaced the switch and wires?

Re: 97 txt surges when pedal pressed
Yes. I thought it was f/r switch so i replaced that and changed the wires just because they needed to be. I think it's in the throttle control somehow. It has a coil that a cylinder piston pushes through. I think that's induction drive?

Re: 97 txt surges when pedal pressed
You have come to the right place. Use the search feature on this site and look up Inductive Throttle Sensor and post "How the ITS works is now known". That will get you started on understanding how it works and troubleshooting. It is called Inductive Throttle Sensor (ITS) but it has a lot more in it than an inductor. You will need a voltmeter to check the voltage across the two wires coming from it while the pedal is depressed. You might want to inspect inside the pedal box where the ITS is located for corrosion or water especially if you have driven through water. You will need to jack up the rear of cart to keep it from moving while troubleshooting. I will check back tomorrow to see how you are doing.

Re: 97 txt surges when pedal pressed
Or it could be the connector trick in he harness from the controller to the pedal box. That can cause intermittent things to happen

Re: 97 txt surges when pedal pressed
Ok. Y'all lost me big time on the itc. However the moisture thing made since because issue started after I washed the cart for the spring. I opened itc box and it looked dry but I checked connections to controller and I think they were corroded. It seems to be working now. Hopefully anyways. Well the f/r switch needed changing any way so guess it was nut a waste. Also the wiring was incorrect to the motor and controller. They had the m- to the A post on f/r and they had B+ post to A1 on motor. Ahh ideas why? Hire did it run?
