Cart will not move, batteries are one year old and they check out good. When you step on accellarator you can hear silonoid click but it won't move. where the wires attach to the motor their is 36 volts. In reverse the tone goes off, but it will not move. Can anyone give me some advise. Hello everyone. Becky

Thanks everyone, I have tried all the responses, the straps on the batteries are all brand new, I'm getting 36 volts to the motor, even though the selonoid is clicking could it still be bad? Becky

have you load tested the bateries? have you pulled and tugged the cables to make sure they are tight.......are all connections clean..........how did the cart break down? were you driving or did it just happen while sitting there.........................

Thanks Tom, That was the first thing I tried, I keep a can of battery cleaner in my cart and spray the terminals at least once a week, they are clean as a whistle

Welcome to the forum Becky.................... Yes. The solenoid can click and still be bad. It's best to take a battery cable or large wire and literally stick it to the 2 LARGE posts (as a jumper) and see if the cart tries to move or jump. If it does, the solenoid is bad.

I always jack atleast one wheel off of the ground before I try that trick .... Of course you can simply verify if the solenoid is switching with a voltmeter If you don't like surprises | |
