Your Humble Opinion needed
I am about 1 month old in the cart world.
I own two carts and would like to dump some money into one of them and fix up the other to give/sell to a relative that lives close by. Let me list what I have, the mods it has that I know of, and the additions I would like to do. I would like your opinion on which way I should go. Any and all input welcome. Thanks in advance 92 EZGO Marathon - Has -

Re: Your Humble Opinion needed
Just to help keep your expectations realistic, "high speed" and "high torque" gears are two different animals. You are always trading one for the other (high speed/reduced torque or high torque/reduced speed). Installing larger tires has already had this effect on your cart (increased speed/reduced torque). Installing a numerically-higher gear ratio (like 14.5:1 or 16.99:1) will help with hill climbing while giving up some top speed.

The marathon at present will do 20-21 MPH on level ground A loss here won't hurt me (until a stock cart beats me, then I have an issue.) |

Re: Your Humble Opinion needed
Upgrading your controller/motor will probably be a great upgrade for torque and speed (be sure to get a motor intended for torque/bigger tire application). This upgrade will also require better cables, solenoid, F&R switch. This alone may suit all your needs in one shot, and these items should all be done at the same time to avoid burning-up the weakest "old" component.

Re: Your Humble Opinion needed
Really? Keep the 92???
Can you both elaborate on why? My two big issues with the 92 ATM are I know nothing about the current lift on it (and can't seem to find any online to upgrade or correct it) and the steering is weird. It shoots one way or another while at speed, while articulating I get horrible front end rub (correctable,) 2-3 inch play in the wheel at rest (or in motion,) While sitting in front of the cart i can (with my hands) i can pigeon (move the tires from |-| to \-/ and to /-\ . I am new at this but I don't think they should do that. **Afterthought** If I am going to dump money into one, I just want to put it where I can best utilize it. Re: Your Humble Opinion needed
the 92 is already set up as a all round cart , the carry all is great if you want a work cart but if your going to remove the bed down the road for a back seat then is worth keeping the 92. remember my 1st comment sell both for a CC
