Default 1994 EZ-GO Medalist will not move

I'm third owner of what I believe to be a 1994 Medalist. I've had it several years but it has always been reliable so most of what I know of carts I have learned here over the last day or two. It quit on me after about a mile down a trail. Stopped and would not respond when tried to start back up. Got it back home and spent some of today looking at components like the potentiometer (box under the floormat) and the area that has the solenoid. The solenoid looks very suspect. It's rusty and with what appears to be heat damage to the wiring in one area (On the right side wire from the small right post and to the corrugated insulation on the far right of the pic). I will attempt to include a photo here so you can see for yourself. I'm looking for advice because I'm a babe in the woods when it comes to DC electrics and this cart's setup for sure.

Can you post the mfg. number?
I didn't know that EZGO started the ITS throttle control in 94.
Is there a Tow/Run switch on the controller cover?

mfg. # H2494 as listed on the plate in the right compartment. I may be offbase as to the year/model but I think I'm right. My componant terminology might be wrong also. I know of no Tow/Run switch.

Has this cart ever been flooded? From the one picture, everything looks quite rusty.

Not to my knowlege and yes, I was surprised at how rusty the solenoid is. It has always been located in East Texas as far as I know. I know the son of the first owner and know the second owner. It was used as a utility, then golf, then utility again by me. I bought it in about 2002 and it still had the original batteries which I recently replaced. (I know you will doubt that but I've already had that conversation with the local golf course cart maintenance fellow and it's true)
BTW, is it possible for you to ID the year and model from the MN and SN I have posted? For future parts ordering.

Just for the fun of it..... I know of a couple of other guys who have got 10 or more years out of a set of batteries and they both were in E-Z-GO's from 1994 to 1996 carts. It's odd, but I don't doubt it after I saw it for myself.
