Default Rear seat with battery access in bag well?

I am searching for a rear seat that will allow access to a pair of batteries in the bag well by flipping the seat bottom up. I want to have easy access to check the battery fluid levels and maintain the battery terminals from corrosion.

A seat for club car DS and EzGo txt are both needed.

I've never seen one, but it should be easy enough to modify one with the same piano hinge that is used to flip the seat open, and cut two access doors. There are two braces that will be in the way, but it looks like it would allow sufficient access. Do you have any friends or neighbors with rear seats? I'd pull one of your batteries out and test fit it on theirs to be sure it will work.

This cart came from the factory like this. Don't know if retrofit is possible.

I've never seen one like that. It would be perfect for rear batteries.

Not exactly rare in my area. I was called a shuttle 2+2 when I bought it. I thought they quit making it in this configuration but a local cart shop tells me they still do. IDK for sure.

This feature is so loved buy all who use this cart that it is a prime reason we haven't already traded for an RXV.

One of the Chinese seat makers has that, flip-out-of-the-way, feature. I don't recall the brand name but they are available.

I decided to modify the rear seat I already own. I'll post some pictures after the weather clears here. I cut an access door that allows access to the batteries and terminals. Should make life so much easier.

The rear seat platform on my cart was held onto its frame rails with four nyloc nuts. I replaced those with nyloc wingnuts. I can remove them by hand in 2 minutes, lift the platform straight up, and service the battery in the bagwell. Total cost around $4. Works for me.

I would have relocated the controller to the bag well and put the batteries under the driver seat

This is a club car DS that was just modified, but I am preparing to build an ezgo cart right now. After modifying this club car, I am certain most seats could be changed successfully.
