Default Charging Question

I have been restoring my 82 ezgo for the past couple months and had a question about charging. What would be the damage if I was to charge the cart till the charger turns off, then charge it again in attempt to get a complete full charge? It seems like after a full charge, it's just not quite where it used to be. The water is good and I believe all my connections are good. I'm just trying to get the most out of my cart.
Thanks for the help.

Shouldn't be a problem since charger will supply only what batteries are capable of accepting. Keep an eye on the water levels if you detect a lot of gassing at the end of the cycle.

Shouldn't hurt anything but it sounds like your batteries are on their last legs. How old are they?

You can connect and reconnect the charger as much as you want to. If the batteries are in good shape it want hurt a thing. If one of them is bad it could burn the other's up trying to bring the one bad battery up to the same level as the others. Boiling them out and making them no goood.
