Seat hinges
I am going to install these seat hinges tomorrow. I know how they work. I am installing them on a new body with new seats, so there are no old holes for the screws. So, all the screws have to align properly. I cant figure out a clever way to do this. Has anyone ever installed these into seats/body with no old screw holes? How do you know where to drill the new holes? I have a few ideas, but wanted to get you guys; opinion. Thanks!

Re: Seat hinges
Mount the frame piece first then put the seat hinge in it. Put some lipstick on the rings and set the seat bottom on it. OR just measure it from center.

Re: Seat hinges
Lipstick.... Hmm. I never thought about lipstick. I was thinking to use some poster board as a template for the slots, and transfer them to the other side.........

Re: Seat hinges
Old locksmith trick. Mount the dead bolt then put it on the bolt, close the door and slam the bolt into the jam. Nice little ring of where to drill the hole ..

Are there holes already in the frame under the body?

Re: Seat hinges
Then I would do what was suggested before.....just look at another cart to get an idea where they go.....or even take a measurement on the seat or body, then put one side (seat or body) on. connect them up and use the grease or lipstick trick.
