1997 Ezgo Txt pedal box micro switch
I have a 1997 Ezgo Txt cart with ITS throttle system. Is the micro switch in the pedal box supposed to be clicked in with pedal at rest?

Re: 1997 Ezgo Txt pedal box micro switch
The peddle box micro switch should be relaxed when the gas pedal is up. At that point there should be no continuity between the two terminals on the switch.
When the gas pedal is down the plunger should engage the roller tab closing the microswitch making continuity between the two terminals. Anything else is damaged or wrong. |

Re: 1997 Ezgo Txt pedal box micro switch
The micro switch is normally closed. With the pedal at rest the switch arm should rest on the end of the plunger which opens the switch contacts. When the pedal is depressed the switch goes to the normal position which is closed. The answer to your question is yes.
