1997 Ezgo Dc Controller 1206sx wiring pics
I have a 1997 Ezgo electric cart one week after I bought the motor and controller burnt up I removed all wiring but didn't label could anyone point me in the right direction to wire back up properly. It has a 400 amp Ezgo 1206sx controller and a 4 post solenoid and a DCS resistor chip as well everything seems wired up but once I attempt to put the positive wire on the battery sparks. Thanks

You may have the DCS Resistor/diode assemble on backwards. Remove it completely and then try to connect the battery pack cables.

Dumb question how do you determine the correct way to install the DCS resistor to the solenoid there's no arrow showing which way to put on the chip?

Resistors don't care. Diodes do.

There are 2 diodes on that board...... take it off ans see if the cart runs, If it does look at the diodes on the board, they have a white band on one end of them, both white ends are towards the same side of the board .... install this end of the board on the same post with the little red wire..... I hope this helps

You don't happen to know the proper wiring for the wiring on the solenoid as well do you that seems to be the other problem I'm facing too.

If read ALL of this you will know how to wire any solenoid on any golf cart, basically.

Well I have wired the golf cart to both diagrams and the golf cart does nothing at all?
