03 TXT rebuild - tuckahoe cart
1st post. This cart came a with the deal when we bought a trailer at the beach 3 summers ago. Stock 03 txt. I've wanted to lift it and have it painted since we got it. Finally got around to it this spring.
Some misc pics to follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great 1st post! Most people don't know what it takes to completely restore a cart like that.

I don't know that I really know what I'm doing but I've learned a lot from all the projects I've done in the past. Always have 2-3 (probably more like 6-7) projects in the works.
I'm an RN, no mechanic. But for the stuff I can't figure out, I've got friends or relatives who can. I'm a jeep nut and always wrenching on them so that experience helps. My '94 Ford Lightning can be seen in the background of some of the cart pics. Can't find a good pic of my M35A2 that I stripped down and rebuilt. Some of my other projects. Hoping to put my new carolina skiff in and out of the bay with the cart. Been putting my skis in and out with the cart the last couple summers. Cart suspension is plenty heavy enough. Maybe a little too stiff, we'll see.
Some of the things I did: Heavy duty rear springs front and rear NAPA response shocks replacing the stock shocks/dampers 6" drop axle lift, spacers in rear 23" tires and 12" wheels Frame blasted and powdercoated gloss black (along with other misc pieces) New aluminum folding rear seat frame Custom seat covers Painted body New brakes and cables New steering Repacked hubs Full length rear view mirror Rubber diamond pattern floor mat Tinted windshield Front/Rear lights Looking into painting top until I can get a replacement black one. Need voltage reducer so I can wire up the lights and add phone charger and stereo hookups. This thing sees a lot of use. My wife and I work every weekend and get to spend mon-fri at the bay each week with our two kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

While it's your first post, I see you've been lurking for a few years. I wish I had done that, as I learned a lot the hard way. Build looks great.
