The ptv "freedom mode" passkey works for 2012.5 and newer. 2008-2012 is a code done by the dealer. These will both get you 19 mph. The 2012.5 and newer has a curtis controller that i can program up to about 28 mph with stock gears & wheels, if the "freedom mode" is on. Here is the "passkey"

It is as simple as this. The early rxv had a "Danaher" brand controller identified by a raw aluminum colored heatshield behind the plastic conrtoller cover. To unlock the full speed of a danaher, a code has to be entered by the dealer on a danaher specific handheld programmer. The danaher controller can not be programmed above 19 mph any way i know of. The later rxv had a "Curtis" brand controller identified by a black heatshield behind the plastic controller cover. To unlock the 19 mph setting on a curtis controller rxv, you plug the passkey into the diagnostic port under the seat, and turn the key on, you will get 1 or 2 beeps from the reverse beeper to indicate if changes were made or not. Two beeps indicates that the 19 mph "freedom mode" is unlocked and now set as max speed. There are settings in the curtis controller that would allow you to go quite a bit faster than 19 mph, but i can not disclose exactally what they are, as EZ-GO would immediately "patch" that loophole. I depend on this trick all the time on new cars we sell, the day that loophole is closed, i will share the trick with everyone, but for now i cant. The danaher programmer is sold only to dealers, and it is even hard for us to get them, EZ-GOs support of the danaher controller is dwindling now that they use curtis controllers.

It is understandable that a less knowledgeable dealer would not know how to do it. When you plug the handheld into the cart there is no selection titled "insert speed code here". You access the field for code entry by pressing and holding a button on the porgrammer as it is turned on.

Okay. I received the Curtis 1313 with Dealer programming. My Ezgo rep said it would connect to the Danaher controller as well but I do not see anyway that can be done.

Does anyone have experience with doing this or is my rep blowing smoke up my.............?
