Txt 2010 getting to freedom
I have an ezgo txt 2010-2011 "10th month of 2010". It has a curtus controler with toe mode but there is not a place to plug in the freedom chip. My question is, can the controller be changed to freedom mode with a hand healed diagnostic tool?If so is their any special codes that I need from the manufatur? How do I go about getting this done?

Re: Txt 2010 getting to freedom
Where is the forward/reverse switch located?
On the dashboard? (PDS) or down behind drivers right knee?(Series drive) If on the dashboard you should be able to install a freedom chip under the controller cover. |

Re: Txt 2010 getting to freedom
A PDS-2 cart like the poster has doesn't have a "chip". It has to be reprogrammed with a handheld controller. Call a local golf cart shop and ask of they can program your cart. Not all shops have a programmer. All ezgo dealers will though.

Re: Txt 2010 getting to freedom
Thanks, sportcoupe. It is a pds 2. I found a shop that has one. The guy said I could have to purchase the codes from ezgo? You think this guy is given me the flim flam or what? How much should I pay? I know they have to eat but I don't like getting the flim flam.
Thanks for your help bud |

Re: Txt 2010 getting to freedom
Programming usually runs $50 to $75 depending on shop in my area.
PDS2 came out in late 2010 I believe, just a guess. |

Thanks. I had not heard the term PDS2 before and am curious. I'm new to carts and trying to learn. Lurking a lot trying to learn enough to ask questions.

Re: Txt 2010 getting to freedom
Couldn't find the single-use passkey anymore on shopezgo. I did find the multi-use passkey though...
