Strange vibration 1994 EZGO
When I depress the pedal my golf cart (motor) starts to vibrate and it will not move. forward or reverse. I have a full charge and if I jack the back up one or both wheels turn with no problem but when I sit it down all it does is shake. I thought maybe the axels were stripped but it is not making any sounds to indicate this. My daughter is driving me crazy to get this fixed so any advise would be appreciated.

Probably a stripped brake drum.

I had it jacked up last night and the tires were spinning under no pressure. I could take my hand and stop the tires. Should I be able to do this?

Do you remember what you did to your cart to fix it when it had this problem on June 20th? Might try it again.

Re: Strange vibration 1994 EZGO
Well I started with the batteries and thought I had it fixed. We didn't use it all summer because of being out of town. I guess it never was really fixed. I will sheck the hubs tonight. What makes them get stripped? pulling heavy loads?

Re: Strange vibration 1994 EZGO
Loose castle nuts on the hub/axle assembly will allow the axle to move slightly and wear out the splines.
Wheelie attempts. Full throttle starts. They are a known weak point. They strip so the axles don't. |

Re: Strange vibration 1994 EZGO
It was a low/dying battery. Replaced and it seems to be better now.
