Default RXV slow to engage parking brake

2010 cart but the motor, brake, axle and differential are only about 2-3 months old. The cart brakes fine when moving, but when I want to come to a complete stop, it'll slow allll the way down to a crawl but not stop completely no matter how much pressure I put on the brake pedal. Then it takes a couple seconds for it to click and apply the parking brake, so its barely rolling the whole time. Also, if I turn the key to OFF while on a hill, even if at a complete stop, before it has clicked to engage the parking brake, it will lurch sort of violently downhill maybe 6 inches. If I wait to turn it off after the click, it doesn't move a millimeter.

I have driven a 2013 RXV and the parking brake performed much more predictably, it engaged quicker, and there was never any lurch no matter how quickly I turned it off.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Any thoughts? Is there a way to adjust the brake on this thing to engage quicker?

Thank you in advance!

I would think something odd like that might be a controller problem or a throttle problem. Is there a way to test for error codes to see if any show up?

Doesnt make sense to me, and i been working on these for a while. Hard to say without seeing it my self. Parking brake on/off times are not adjustable for me (with ezgo dealer equipment). Seems you want to fix it yourself? Try thread "rxv fault codes - danaher controllers". Tons of good info there, straight from the source. Have you taken the park brake off to see that its ok? How fast does it go? Faster than 19~21 mph (depending on what tire/rim is on it) = High Speed gears, which does some wierd stuff on a rxv. No real way to see error codes without danaher specific scanner (i cant even get another one of those, thats gonna be a problem for me in the future).

To me it sounds like the throttle is not fully closing all the way, so the cart doesn't stop. Maybe play with that a little?

Thinking maybe the same. Try lifting both pedals when you come to a stop and see if it is better. Also, has it always done this? Sticking solenoid possible also.

The solenoid thing dont add up, the solenoid is on whenever the key is on, even when park brake locked. I have a doubt about the pedal thing too, the rxv is very picky about the status of the pedals when you turn the key on (they must be at 0%). So if the pedals were the problem, you would be getting "i turned the key on, but it wont go and the reverse buzzer makes funny noise in all key positions".

It has always done the lurch when you turn it off before the parking brake clicks. The slow roll is new. The pedals return to 0% fully each time. The gears are stock, does 20mph.

When you say check the parking brake, do you mean the brake itself or is there some other piece of hardware that engages the parking brake?

Can you push cart with key off? (should not be able to) Its bolted to the end of the motor with 3x 10mm bolts. Be sure to block tbe wheels so the cart cant roll once brake is removed.
