Default 6 Volt Batteries

Ok time for me to replace the 6 volt batteries on my 02 36 volt ezgo pds. The cart has been lifted, 22 inch tires and 4 guage cables. Motor and controller are stock. I am looking at trojan t-105, crown cr-235, and us battery us-2200. I know there is alot on here about batteries but wanted to see what other peoples experiences with the different brands, opinions etc.... Is one brand better than the other? What do the golf cart experts on this site recommend? I may upgrade the controller and motor and voltage in the future. Thanks for any help!!

do yourself a favor and stay away from the low-budget/low dollar batteries. stick with a brand name battery such as Trojan, Crown, US Battery, Interstate...... and buy the highest AH rated battery you can get/afford. a standard 36V battery pack is made up of 6 - 225 AH rated batteries....here is a list if the most common quality batteries out there. the higher on the list, the higher the AH rating.....thus the more amps you can draw out of them, thus the longer the run time you will/should achieve.

oh and btw..... Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I have found the Crown cr-235 which replaces the cr-225 and the trojan t-105 for around $100 dollars a piece + tax so I think its between those two. The crowns have a slightly higher ah rating, trojan 225ah crown 235ah. Everyone I have asked around locally except the crown dealer like the trojans. Was just wondering what most like on this site and actual experiences with each of the brands. Of course the crown dealer says crowns are built better. Thanks for the replys.

Depending on your location, that doesn't sound unreasonable, and Crowns have a good reputation. It's worth calling around, even if you have to drive a little more, since that's a big investment.

FWIW,
I paid $105 for T-105s in the Atlanta area a few years back, and got free delivery.
