golfcart security
Please correct me if I am wrong, but all golf cart keys are the same. How does one secure the vehicle? I know there is a tow switch under the seat, which is basically a cutoff switch for the golf cart, but anyone can open the sit and flip it back to run? What do people do? I understand, that is someone want your cart they will get it, but how do you deter joyriders and alike?

Re: golfcart security
You could interrupt the signal to the solenoid with one of the many wireless key-fob remotes available on ebay.

Re: golfcart security
You can also buy a uniquely keyed switch from shopezgo.com, but they aren't cheap. Plug and play. Others have bought key switches for motorcycles. Whatever you get should be outdoor rated.

Re: golfcart security
Ezgo thinks a lot of their unique key switch price wise - you can get a generic automotive key switch and a light switch for a lot less $

Re: golfcart security
I looked on IZGO, they have a switch for $31. Is it too much?
btw: Is there a way to install a lock on the front seat? |

Re: golfcart security
I bought a 3 position uniquely keyed switch, but I thought it was more? Maybe you just need a 2 position.
Still a lot of money. |

Re: golfcart security
$52.09 back in 2010 for a three position uniquely keyed from shopezgo.com.
