Rear suspension
Hello everyone I am in need of new rear suspension parts. ive been hearing a clunking today and looked under the cart. All the bushings are just about gone. I looked closer and the rear springs are flattened out and maybe even bent in the wrong direction. they look like 4 leaf, springs and I want to put the strongest set of springs I can back on it. It has a utility bed that may occasionally have a passenger or 2 sitting on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what springs to put on this cart. discription is in my signiture.

Re: Rear suspension
Mine has a rear seat and two extra batteries, but I put the HD springs from shopezgo.com and mine rides just fine from one to four passengers. They also have bushings.

Re: Rear suspension
thanks for the reply yurtle. I just wantd to be sure there wasn't any top secret leaf springs out there that I would probably find out about 2 weeks after I install new hd springs. it looks like the ones on there were hd at one time but they are flattened out now.

Re: Rear suspension
There may be stiffer springs available, but I rarely haul really heavy loads, and even with just me, it's not too stiff. Like everything, it's a compromise.

Re: Rear suspension
I actually think they were flatened out when I got the cart in 2010 but they put some spacers under them to make it ride level..... I don't haul a lot of heavy stuff around but I might. I checked shopezgo and they are on backorder but it looks like the got em over at east coast custom carts seem to have them

Re: Rear suspension
looking at a diagram of this thing and it looks like 8 bushings for each spring? is that correct I would need 16 to do the whole job. Thats what it looks like from here at least

Re: Rear suspension
My TXT has 8 in the back and none up front. A TXT has bolted connections on the front springs. Is yours a Workhorse? Hard to tell from the pic, but I had a gas workhorse at one time.

Re: Rear suspension
ok so it look like it would be 6... what i am seeing in the diagrame is that each bushing is only half and one is used on either side of each leaf spring so there would be 4 on the back end of the spring and 2 on the front because of the bracket on the back
