Default 2008 PDS license plate light install

Have a 12v light kit but not sure how to install. It appears that I just tie into the tail lights and then run the other wire to the battery ground.

How do I know which wires are the "on" tail lights as opposed to the brake etc...?

Is there an easy way to do this? I can't take the body off so I assume I will have to tie into the tail lights by splicing the wire and putting together via a host.

I am very new to this so any help is appreciated!!! Just bought cart this past weekend.

Thanks in advance!

If it is a factory wiring harness, you want to tap into the Blu/Wht wire.
If it is an aftermarket kit, it could be any color.

Thanks JB!

I tried that and it worked however it stayed on even when I shut the lights off. I believe I tied into the white wire before the connector. I'm assuming I need to tie into it after the connector because before is always on. Does that make sense?

I'm not sure about any connector, but try tracing wires from the tail lights and tap into those.

I did that. There is a white plastic housing with a connector inside that connects the wires from the batteries to the wires on the rear lights. I tied into the wires coming from the battery before the white connector.

I'm assuming there is a kill switch in that connector so I need to tie into the wire on the other side of it.

You need to tap into the Blu/Wht wire after the keyswitch.
