Default 12V Deep Cycle Batteries, Pros and Cons

I was considering buying more readily available 12V deep cycle batteries and connecting 6 in a 36V configuration. (3X2). Any reason this would be a problem. I can get about the same Ah capacity as a 1x6 6V configuration. This seems to be much less expensive unless there is somewhere I can get good 6V batteries in the $100 neighborhood.

well first off, you could put that configuration together.....and will it will work. BUT you must be using GOLF CART batteries, not just regular Deep Cycle batteries, they are not the same.....and a quality 12v Golf Cart battery is going to be a lot more than $100 each. Depending where you get them.....its more like $150 to $200 each.

Trojans are preferable, but if you can't find some of those near you then check out your local Sam's club - their batteries are right around your price range - the one here actually has two grades of 6 volt batteries, it is worth the extra to get the better ones, here I believe they're in the $100-$110 range.

It's all good Nuke. Lack of caffeine does weird stuff to a person's ability to function.
