Charger Question
I am starting the upgrade on my cart with the first thing being 36 to 48 volts.
can I use a club car 48 volt charger and just change the plug on the end of the cable. I seem to be able to find some of these at resonable prices. Thanks |

Re: Charger Question
Club car chargers only work with Club cars....which have an onboard computer to tell the charger when to come on and turn off. Something every other charger has internally... Basically, C.C. got the Bright idea to put part of the charger on the cart! So these chargers only work with C.C.

Re: Charger Question
You can change a board in them to work on any 48 volt cart. Kneddor did this to his, old post on you know where. Near as i can remember 150. He had no obc on the cart.

Re: Charger Question
Scotty, it was some kind of timer board. I need to go over there and find it. Kneddors carts i think, it was that red cart he lifted and converted to 48. He eliminated the obc on both of his carts and uses the same charger on both.

Re: Charger Question
You can buy 48 volt chargers. You can get a good charger that comes with a quick dis connect and it can have any plugin you want put on it and buy extra's to have for any cart.
