Default Don't know where the wires go

I have a EZGo cart, I am not sure about the year but I want to say it is about a 94. It has 6 6vold batteries, three in front of 3 others. I put new batteries in it.

My headlights do not work.

there is a red wire and a white wire coming from a loom on the drivers side of the battery compartment. These wires are not hooked up.

I removed them but not sure how to hook back up.

I am pretty sure all others are hooked properly because they are zipline together.

I have googled all morning to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to BGW! You will have to get a multimrter
. I would use the OHMs setting and test the wire to see if it runs the lights. I am only a fair electrician, tho. At least it would tell you if the wires ran the lights. If so, it would probably be safe to connect them to 12 volts (2 6 volt batteries).

If the wires are connected to the charge receptacle they may be for the reed switch. If that's the case and the cart still runs the reed switch has been bypassed, which is common and fairly harmless.
