Default 2008 rxv locked up

Ok I may be beating a dead horse but I wanna be sure before I spend any money is all. I have minimal experience with rxv carts. A member dropped off his and it wouldn't move in any position tow/run but you still get a reverse buzzer and could hear the brake solenoid contacting. He complained also that the voltage meter was going crazy for a bit. Which it still does when pedal is depressed. Jumping around to full then a fourth to half and so on. I've read threads and seen where if I remove the lil black #10 gauge wire from the controller that goes to a resistor box thingy. That if it is then able to be moved in tow mode, that the resistor is fried. So when it's unhooked I can place in tow mode and push anywhere I want but in run it won't budge. Does this mean I have to replace the whole $330.00 dollar resistor box or do I replace something else? By the way all cables are tight. Cart is a 2008 and has 50.2 volts and wiring seems all ok. Any information would help me a great deal. Thanks, Bird.

Rather than explain this again and again, please read this thread. This info is from Ezgo. "Rxv fault codes - danaher controllers"

Thanks for the fault code sheet. I'm doing my best with my cell phone. I can't physically search in the threads on it for some reason. I did the tests and when I ohm the resistor I'm getting 1.5 ohms. The sheet calls or 0.2/0.5 ohms and replace if different. Only reason I'm asking is I just wanna be sure. Also when I unhook the resistor module and placed in tow it allows to be pushed but will not move on its own power. What do you think my next step is? Replace the hot resistor? I also read the 45 page thread cart boy has. I'm trying to research everything so It dont seem like I'm just coming on and asking without trying anything first. Thanks

If disconnecting the resistor control module makes it DRIVEABLE (not pushable), the module is bad. The thread i referred to is on the first page, right by this thread. It has many test procedures for the rxv, and explains how it is supposed to operate. I have never seen the coil fail and cause the cart not to run, but the device that turns the coil on and off has failed on many occasions, causing the cart not to run. Diagnosing the rxv is tricky without the handheld programmer
