Default Trouble Pinpointing EZ GO Model

I recently purchased an '04 EZGO TXT, and when I input the model on the website it comes back as a "2004 36v TXT Standard", but it doesn't look like the standard cart as far as I can tell.

It looks like it has a front end similar to the "workhorse" models with a bumper guard, and it also has the rear seat. Below the serial number on the cart is "ST 2+2". I've found some pictures of these online, but they don't always look the same.

In general i'm a novice and i'm just trying to determine if any upgrades have been done, or if i'm dealing with a stock cart. My initial objective is to get it to go faster on flat surfaces as cheaply as possible. Just need to make sure I buy parts for the right cart.

Any insight as to what exactly I have is appreciated.

Thanks!

Remove the cover and take a picture to post my current controller on here? Will that give you enough info to know whether it is stock or not?

Also, should I just be looking for parts/equipment based on the '04 TXT standard? Is that any different than the standard 2+2?

Thanks for your help!

Sooner, one more thing you can do is look at the thread that is attached below, it will let you know what type of drive system it is, as we get into more detailed answers/discussions. it will allow us to steer you in the proper direction.

I haven't had a chance to open anything up to determine whether the cart is Series or Sepex, but based on a general overview it may likely be a series.

After inspection and some use, I have a few additional questions for you guys.

Should the batteries be making a faint fizzle/oozing sound and leaking a bit out of the top of a couple batteries a few hours after use? Concern here is both for the golf cart and for the epoxy floor I put down a couple weeks ago vs any acidic liquid.

Also, is it possible to pull off and replace the floor mat on my rear seat? When they installed the back rack bar they messed up the flooring and i'd like to pull it off and replace it.

Finally, would it hurt for me to post a picture of the serial number tag for your reference? I wasn't sure if there was any risk in posting this online.

Thanks Guys
