Ezgo txt mystery
Ok, so I've had my first cart for a year. What I think to be a 2001 ezgo txt series according to numbers on the body. I lifted it with a jakes 6 inch and did a few other things to it as well. Here's the part that has me stumped. I decided it needed new brakes and my dad lives pretty close to a local shop and took my old brakes and brakes hubs to make sure he got the right ones. He calls me after he leaves and said he got new brakes but the owner of the shop said that the hubs and shoes are club car hubs and shoes as ezgo txt have splined hubs. My hubs are not splined and my dad said the owner showed him a set from a club car and they looked like mine. He said there were some much older ezgos with non splined hubs he thought???? So I'm puzzled as to whether my ezgo really has a club car rearend and is a Frankenstein cart or is it some older model cart with a newer body on it? Any thoughts or ideas? Are the rear ends even interchangeable and if so how would I tell which I have and could I have a club car motor on an ezgo? Confused

Just curious, if the hubs are not splined, are they keyed? Post some pictures of the rear end if you can.

Re: Ezgo txt mystery
A little different than mine, but I'm pretty sure that is an ezgo rear end. Do you have a picture of the hubs removed?

Re: Ezgo txt mystery
Has ez go ever had screw brake adjustment on the top of the hub?? I have only seen them on club cars.
