That was the stock motor in my 2008 PDS.

It'll work, but don't take it over 8,000 RPM like I did.

No comments about "field mapping"? What was the part number of the old motor. The "field mapping" in the controller must mach the motor. This can be changed pretty easy on an alltrax controller, cant be changed by you on a stock controller. Three possibilities exist from using mis-matched field maps, 1- early motor death 2- early controller death 3- sub-par performance from not using motor to full potential.

True, it is a No-No to mate a PDS motor with a DCS controller or DCS motor with a PDS controller, but I was under the impression he was installing a later model PDS motor in a 2000 PDS cart.

Of course, EZGO/Curtis may have changed the field maps in early and late 1206MX controllers and I am unaware of it.

Thanks for the reply and yes JohnnieB...that is what Im trying to do....My cart is a 2000 and it IS a PDS....There is a gentleman on here that had the above listed motor but didn't know what style of cart it came out of....I didn't know how to tell by the information on the motor whether or not his motor was a PDS.....We just know the motor is a 2003 because of what is on the motor plate....

So in the end...>Will that motor I listed above bolt right up to my 2000 regan, PDS ezgo

thanks...Bill....

Here is what I know for sure:

The part numbers you posted are the same part numbers that were on the motor that was in my 2008 PDS cart when I got it.

I am certain it will bolt up to the differential in a 2000 PDS cart, but I have never done it, so I don't know for sure.

Until I hear otherwise, I believe the field map used in the 2000 PDS is the same as the field map used in later 36V PDS systems.

Sorry I cannot give you a straight, single word answer, but there are some thing I know and some things I don't know yet.

The motor will bolt up and fit correctly, no questions at all about that. So would any yamaha g19 or newer motor. The dana axle and 19 spline is a common and standardized thing. Mechanically, yes it will fit perfect. Just be certain what motor you put on there, it needs to match controller, sounds like you should have the right motor.
