Default Ez-Go 400 problems found

OK it has been a while since I did anything to the 400.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...nd-bought.html

Today i took it to a couple motor shops and did find 1 that could fix the motor if it dont work right.
They looked inside it and didnt feel like the armature was burned up or anything. Told me if nothing needed rewinding 225 would put new bushings and brushes in it.
Well I went ahead and took it in the shop and was just going to remove the entire electrical system intact so I could work on it a peice at the time and not loose track of the wires. I got all that laid aside and then went to look about the brake drum. There is where I found the clunk i had heard and the reason the wheels would lock up.
The input shaft is VERY loose and comes in and out 3/8ths of a inch or so.
If pulled out a bit, still turns the axles.
It is all out and now I will learn about this weird differential.

Any ideas or input are still wanted and would be appreciated.

Good to see you're still working on it! Any way to open up the transaxle?

I didnt have any paying jobs in the shop and tore it down this far, then the gate flew open and the shop is full of lawnmowers
Since I have a bunch of doctors bills now to pay, gota prioritize.
Once the lawnmower parts come in,and some other work is done about Wednesday, I will be back on this.
