Battery meters
I have a analog 36v battery meter with small 36v back light that can be mounted on back with separate wires to use if desired, it shines thru opaque rear of meter. It can be mounted in 2" hole in dash or with black plate anywhere. After looking at instructions it shows in picture Left to right four separate colored sectors. Red/Green/White/Red Marked E at line between Red/Green F at line Green/White then CHG in white sector then line White/.Red. Voltages not indicated on gauge but in accompanying literature the picture is marked red extreme left 25V, Line Red/Green E 29V,Green/White F 36V, CHG White/Red line 41v , with no marking for extreme right red sector end of gauge. From the Soc chart I downloaded from forum link any of the green sector even at Full would be below 50% discharge. This gauge looks like the standard analog gauge I have seen everywhere on carts and for sale. I just don't know what to think . Any thoughts from the more informed?

Re: Battery meters
Those analog gas gauge type meters are no good.... Do not use it!
Get a digital meter and learn to read it like a gas gauge as in 38.2 = 100 (FULL) 37.8 = 90 37.4 = 80 37.1 = 70 36.7 = 60 36.3 = 50 (EMPTY) |

Re: Battery meters
I got the digital SOC from ScottyB and It is dead on with my handheld DVM. Digital is the way to go IMO. Otherwise, you are guessing.

I have a business card sized chart taped right next to my digital meter that details of SOC from 100 % = Full to 50 % = Empty... How much easier can that be? |

Re: Battery meters
Is there a round DVM gage that will drop into the hole on RXV's?
