E-Z-GO wont go
Ok I haven't dug into it yet because of time but I hope to this weekend.
I have a 2005 PDS with a Alltrax 400 controller. It worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago as I pulled it into the shop and put it on charge. I went out a few nights ago to get it and it doesn't move. I know my batteries are getting a little tired, but i cant see this being the problem. I did check a few quick things like... light on the controller is green, toggle switch is in run, backup alarm works. Please give me a check list of where to start and finish. Thanks in advance, Ken |

Re: E-Z-GO wont go
Green LED on controller comes on steady, but solenoid doesn't click when pedal is pushed?
Check the pedal switch and the in-line connector between pedal box and controller. If those are okay, verify you have pack voltage on yellow wire at solenoid coil. Also, try unplugging, spray cleaning and replugging all the plugs going to the adapter and the adapter plug to the controller Sounds like a bad switch or connection. |

Re: E-Z-GO wont go
Click from the pedal box or from the solenoid?
If the solenoid is energizing, the problem is in the high current circuit, or ITS, or a bad controller. Clean the in-line connector between pedal box and controller, ITS signal goes through it also. Jack rear wheels off ground and put on jackstands so the half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over someone or something. Connect voltmeter between B- and M- terminals on controller. When the pedal is pushed just far enough for the solenoid to click, you should have full pack voltage. If not, move the positive test lead from M- to the A1 stud on motor. Inf no voltage, move probe to A2 stud on motor. If no voltage, move probe to the controller side big terminal on solenoid. The problem will be between where you had voltage and the last place you didn't. If you do have voltage, press pedal to floor and the voltage should drop to zero. If not, check the ITS voltage between Pins 1 and 2 on controller. Should be 10V with pedal up and 6V with pedal down |
