Default RXV Voltage Reducer, Toggle, Fuse Block Hookup - Help Please

I'm installing some LED headlights on my 09 RXV and need some help with wiring up a toggle switch, fuse block, and a voltage reducer.

I want to be able to switch off the voltage reducer with the toggle, therefore, not wiring into the key switch. This is mainly if I decide to add a radio later on so that I can just switch on the voltage reducer without the key switch on. Also, I want to ensure that the reducer is off and not drawing power when I don't need to use any of the 12V accessories.

Does anyone have a diagram showing this type of setup? I'm definitely a novice when it comes to wiring and I want to make sure I don't screw up and fry my controller.

Thanks,
Shawn

This is how I did mine. You can attach the switch wire to the solenoid. It will shut off when the key is turned off. I have not had trouble at all. I have lights and usb wired to the fuse block. I plan on connecting a radio sooner than later.

do not wire anything to RXV key switch.
Will blow controller.
RXV is computer controlled and key switch is digital SIGNAL line not power line like other carts.
wire to solenoid -good-
use of voltage reducer is recommended with rxv using 1 battery to provide 12v
fore accessories causes erratic operation and intermittent "emergency stop"
problems. you can wire voltage reducer to direct to battery (use fuse ) with a heavy duty toggle switch.
again don't mess with RXV wire harness. not like old carts. do not wire anything to key switch.

I'm no RXV dude, but what if one were to wire a DC to DC converter "signal" wire to the key switch? Not power, but signal.

Wouldn't try. don't know signal voltage that converter uses.
if Signal voltage for converter is 48v Will Kill rxv controller.
just wire Converter signal to switch on dash. Should show that option in wiring diagram
for controller.
again-- dont mess with RXV wire harness --most golf cart stuff uses 36v or 48v even for
signal or sense , most rxv is 5v (MOSFET AND CMOS trigger voltages) any exposure to
36 or 48 volt circuit will damage controller ($$$$$$$$)
ALL SIGNAL/SENSE Voltages ARE NOT COMPATIBLE !!!!

I ran a heavy duty toggle switch for the 48 volt power to the front and put it above the cup holders. Also put a power light so I could be reminded it is on. Then I put my 12v fuse block up front under the front "hood" with a ground block. That way I can easily add things.

This is what scared me away from trying.

Followed link
-- ouch--
factory SOC meter plugs into harness. no problem doing that yourself.

I connected the yellow wire to battery number 3 positive - this means only 24 volts going through the toggle switch - much safer than 48 through it.

I found the reducer would not switch on with 12 volts or I would have used yellow to battery number 4 and had a much easier time finding the switch for it.

I used a 24 volt DC switch with LED / waterproof from Carling Tech and mounted it on the same plate as key switch.
