Default Flipping 2002 txt pds golf cart

I need some help with finding out why my cart flipped on me. I was going down a hill, not a real steep hill, and made a turn and the thing flipped on me. I have the original pds system and its the "all terrain" mode. I took my foot off the pedal and nothing even slowed it and by the time I put my foot on the brake the cart was already tipping. I thought these things were supposed to slow you down without pushing the brake pedal.

I just sold a brand new 2008 pds Freedom model, we changed the the controller out and that wasn't the problem it still wouldn't self brake. If you have a chip in it I would try changing out the chip out of the controller. I know it sounds weird but it didn't make sense to me but I traveled three hours to fix it, and that was the only problem.

On a PDS cart there is a wire from the back of the motor to the controller. It is grey... actually in the grey casing is a black, a red, and a white. I'd be willing to bet that where the wire goes into the controller - under the cover - is pinched and broken...thus removing the regen effect but not increasing speed.

Common deal when people change out chips.

The speed chip which is the freedom model and the all terrain chip will do very little self braking. They will keep the cart froom rolling off but not effect the coasting of it.
If you want the regan effect get the steep or mild hill chips.
