Is "EZ-GO vs Club Car" a technical question?
Hi, all! I'm brand new here and just stumbled upon this site in my golf cart research. I have the opportunity to buy a 2006 EZ-GO TXT PDS for $2,800 that they say was very well maintained (it was a trade in, the owner just wanted a new one). It's a 36 volt. Is this a decent deal? The cart appears to be in very good shape and has brand new batteries. I've never owned a golf cart before and would like this one to last at least ten years. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thx!

Or should I look for a Club Car instead? (Forgot that part!)

Can you tell us the brand and model of these new batteries? That will help us out a lot on our decision. Also what is your location?

Actual age of these "new" batteries would help us also. RAY

I just texted the owner to find out - thanks for replying to my post to ask that!

Not sure of your location but that sounds high to me even if it has brand new Trojan batteries. Around here going price with new batteries is 1800 with old batteries up to 2200 like new batteries. .

Re: Is "EZ-GO vs Club Car" a technical question?
I paid $2200 for my 07 in FL and the supposedly "good" batteries were junk. Was able to "milk" only 6 - 8 months out of them! A new set of T-105's was $500, so I basically have $2700 in it. The cart was/is exceptionally clean & not off a Golf Course, so I think I got maybe just an average deal (not good/not bad). At $500-$700 a pop, battery condition is a big factor. Hope this helps - RAY

In March 2012 I bought a 2005 Ezgo TXT PDS 36v Freedom with brand new batteries for $2000.00. This purchase was from an individual not a dealer in south west Florida.

Between $2-3000 is good, depending on accessories.A lite-kit,roof, and rear seat will put it in the $2500-$3000 range with new batteries in our area.

Re: Is "EZ-GO vs Club Car" a technical question?
In 2011, I paid $2,300 locally for a plain vanilla 2008 PDS fresh off a 3 year fleet lease with 18 month old T-105 batteries.
