Howdy all. Can someone recommend a type jack to use on my 87 Marathon to help change tires, etc. ?

I use a compact floor jack similar to the one pictured here: http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ack-68783.html

I also have an eye-bolt through the frame in the bag-well and use a chain-hoist to lift the rear end, don't know if that is an option with a Marathon.

I've got a couple of jacks like pictured above, that's all I ever use...... and of course the stands.. I like JohnnieB's idea about the eyebolts.

I use the crank jack from my old Cherokee. I keep it (plus the lug wrench and handle) mounted on my spare tire carrier, "just in case"...

In contrast to the other opinions - I present you with this option: http://www.harborfreight.com/4-ton-s...jack-type.html

Should you ever need to work on anything larger, you will find this jack plenty capable, this is the one I use and it works equally well on everything from a stock golf cart to Dad's heavy Duramax pickup. I have found it is MUCH easier and safer to use a big jack on small vehicles than it is to use a small jack on something larger. Buy the big one so you don't end up buying again. JMO.
