Default Trouble Shot Sound like a fried controller?

Cart not running, push on pedal solenoid clicks but no go.

I printed out all the trouble shooting tips on here and followed them on the cart tonight. 1995 medalist (no run/tow switch) good batteries/cables/new micro switch and new ITS in last week)

when solenoid first clicks white wire on controller reads .3V (should be .4-.6)
when pedal is pushed it should go to 1.5v-1.7v, it does nothing

I tested the main posts on the solenoid and the one closest to the batteries and one closest to the body are only .6v different (should be 3v less on one closest to the body)

with DVM on B- and M- I get full pack voltage when solenoid clicks. As I push pedal to floor there is no decrease in voltage(should go to near zero)

Does this seem like a fried controller? Also, to make sure mine has the right controller in it... I have posts M-, M+, B-, A2 (what does A2 do, I don't see anything about it in the tests)

Here is a link to the Service Manual for a 1994-96 Medalist:http://www.ordertree.com/docs/1047/E...28124G01RS.pdf

The ITS is not working, so it could be an ITS sensor issue or a controller issue.
(Note: The ITS sensor in the pedal box is only part of the ITS circuit. The rest is in the controller)

If the input to the ITS sensor isn't right, the output won't be either, so the first step is checking the voltage on Pin-2 (Black wire). See Section-G in the linked manual.

------------
The A2 terminal is for "Plug Braking", which reduces, but does not eliminate, the possibility of the driver from being impaled on the steering column if the F/R lever is shifted from F to R while moving at speed. It is a feature more commonly used in forklift applications than in golf carts.

-----------
As for having the right controller, the standard controller was the Curtis 1206, which had a white Molex plug on top. There were also a heavy duty version that had a Curtis 1204/5 controller (3 or 4 push-on connectors for the control wires) And the cart is almost 20 years old, so a previous owner may have installed an aftermarket controller.

Be away that the ITS voltages are determined by the controller, so you have to know which controller you have to troubleshoot the throttle system. Post a picture of the controller and we can probably identify it.

Ordered a new (used) controller without A2 lug and it now is working. I left the cable coming from the A2 lug to the F/R assembly unattached and just taped it up. Doesn't seem to be effecting anything.
