94 EZGO resistor cart electrical wiring
Hello
I have a 1994 EZGO Marathon with the coil resistor design, not solid state. The wiring diagram I have found for this cart doesn't show how to wire up the micro switch on the accelerator board. I'm talking about the micro switch that is on the same side of the board as the solenoid. There is also a small switch on the back side of the accelerator board with two wire tabs sticking out. The cart I'm working on had the wiring taken out, I managed to get everything back into place except the wiring for the micro switches. When I push the accelerator the solenoid clicks but nothing happens. Batteries are charged and show 37 volts across the set. I have the back wheels off the ground as well and nothing. Please help |

Re: 94 EZGO resistor cart electrical wiring
Can you post the diagram you are using? I don't recall Ezgo making resistor coil carts in 1994, the cart may be a little older?

Re: 94 EZGO resistor cart electrical wiring
The year it was made is the last 2 digits in the manufacture code. All 94s were electronic speed control models. The micro switches are simple on/off switches for the solenoid activation and possibly a reverse buzzer.
Not sure how you have it wired. Solenoid is triggered by a micro switch on the speed wiper board. Sounds like you have that working..... problem may be in the high amperage side if the cart if the solenoid clicks and cart wont go. have you tested solenoid for continuity on the high amperage side (big posts) when it clicks? |
