Default More upgrades.

Here we go again, I'm rebuilding a 1998 TXT DCS cart I rebuilt about three years ago just to fix a few things and do an upgrade or two. I've got an Alltrax 400 amp controller, MZJ-200D solenoid with 4ga cables and a stock motor. I'm like to add a Plum Quick Bandit for a little more juice. Will this work with my setup or do I need to change anything else, i.e. a HD F&R switch it's the big rotary looking one or any other components?

In a DCS cart the F&R sends a low amp signal to the controller which does the high amp directional switching. So not F&R upgrade is needed.

Thanks for the fast reply scottyb; I got all the parts from you when I first rebuilt the cart and have been very happy with it. So do you think this will be a good setup? Also I came across a post yesterday about a switch to turn the power down for kids and old people to use the cart, do you know of a way to do this with the configuration Iím going with or should I just lock it in the garage?

The Alltrax 400 amp control past the half speed reverse option on pin #4. You can use a toggle switch to bring 36 V positive to this pin whenever half speed operation is desired.

For the Alltrax control only. When (+) power is brought to pin #4 the throttle input signal is reduced by 50%. Th wire at pin 4 is connected to your F&R reverse micro switch. Install a simple on/off toggle switch anywhere in the cart. Connect each one of it's 2 leads to either side of the reverse microswitch(ms).

You will want to disconnect the reverse buzzer so it is not on all the time... If you wish to have the reverse buzzer operational it gets more complicated.

So would you just tie in to the existing wire that runs from pin 4 to the revese switch with a toggled switch from the (pos+) of the battery pac?

Is that the micro switch on the right side of the big rotary F&R switch? Just trying to make sure so I donít have to buy another controller from ya.

my 96 dcs sepex motor will hit almost 32mph with stock motor and 48 volts.
JohnnieB says much faster and the motor will probably grenade and also take the controller. I very seldom take it above 27mph now
look below and you'll see what all I'm running
