Cart will not move
Ok... new issue!
Followed the advice and purchased the 170-502-0001Motor from D&D. Everything worked out perfect. Change all the wiring for the third time, this time to #2 Gauge as for electrical all problems seem to be resolved. The last two months have been as if a new cart was bought. Then today went to back out of the Garage and a sudden pop sound was heard. The cart stopped moving and now when: the accelerator is depressed a gear grinding noise is heard. Please help, how bad is it? |

Re: Cart will not move
Jack up the cart and put the rear on jack stands.....have someone lightly press the accelerator and you look at the rear left wheel.....does it spin? if not....is the castle nut spinning? if so.....what has happened is your have a bad hub, very common issue. the best thing you can do is to buy a set of HD Hubs from ScottyB at CartsUnlimited.net

Re: Cart will not move
Heavy-duty hubs are unavailable until the end of next month. I have searched the country and found none. Customers have called me and verified th they cannot find them either. I believe the manufacture is moving production offshore in this is causing the delay.
However. You can still get these heavy-duty hubs by purchasing the cable disc brakes set. The heavy-duty hubs are included in the brake disc set from Ausco. Go here for more information > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Hi_Per...ce_Brakes.html |

Re: Cart will not move
Thanks Guys, this is exactly the problem, I've reached my wits end. Bringing the Cart to Interstate Golf Carts in Hammond La. and having them go through all systems and renew everything. Hunting Season right around the corner.
Thanks again for the info. Scotty are the Disc Brakes readily available; or are you the only supplier? |

Re: Cart will not move
No we do not have exclusive distribution rights, We do however have very competitive pricing and same or next day shipping in most cases.

Re: Cart will not move
OK, My eyes are blood shot from reading and reading and reading posts LOL, learning a lot but.......My PROBLEM IS;
I just bought a 1994 electric EZGO I believe (is year in serial number or model number? model ended in 88 and serial ended in 94) anyway I paid $200 and knew I couldn't pass this one up! The problem he sold it so cheap was that he was driving it and it stopped going forward or backwards, he didn't say if he head a pop or didn't want to say either way it reeves up but doesn't go forward or backwards! I hooked the charger up and it pegged at 20amps and started to charge until it went to zero and turned off! I'm posting here because it seems I may have hit the right POST? Does anyone think I might have another problem or should I start at the hubs? The reeve is not grinding or making any type of broken sound it just sounds like the motor is reeving up! Just a thought....Could the shaft from the motor to the rear wheels be broken? Is their a shaft, OMG I just gave a way my knowledge of EZGO's, lol! I am mechanically inclined so if it requires to disassemble a motor and change BRUSHES OR Change a hub I can do it...HELP! SARGE Last edited by Tango1Down; 11-25-2014 at 09:00 PM..
