Clicking while coasting but fine under power

My EZGO TXT/PDS with Sepex motor and recent upgrade to 48V and to disc brakes works fine under power, but clicks when I lift my foot off the accelerator.
It doesn't seem to change if the brakes are applied or not. It seems to be coming from the motor/differential or brake area and doesn't seem to do it when jacked up.
Any Ideas?

Mech disc brakes? Check the hubs and make sure they are tight.

I say hubs not tight, or failing wheel bearing. These are both common, and easy to fix.

Both those ideas are logical and I will check the bearings and hubs in the next few days. I hope it is that and not a motor coming unglued. I saw a few posts after I upgraded to 48V that I could be turning the motor a lot faster that it was designed for and I am concerned about slinging it apart. It will exceed 30 pretty easily.

Try to determine the frequency of the clicking, is it the same as 1 wheel revolution? Is it much faster than 1 wheel revolution? Wheel bearings on their way out can be tricky, as they dont always feel very rough when you spin them, or dont always have visible signs of failure. If they spin super-easy, they likely have too much slop inside, they actually should stop spinning as soon as you stop spinning them.

The noise is the same frequency as the wheel revolution. I took both wheels and wheel spacers off and re-torqued everything and I didn't see any issues. Took it for a short test drive and it was quiet until I turned to go into my garage and it started again.
I have seen it mentioned that the mechanical disc brakes can be noisy and I thought they were talking about squealing, but could they be causing the clickity clack noise only when coasting? Probably not since applying the brakes doesn't seem to change it.
I am not sure of a good way to check the wheel bearings without taking everything apart to inspect them. Does the differential cover have to come off to get the axles out?

Yep, agree with rest hubs and bearings. I have to replace mine 1 or 2 times a year. And it doesn't have anything to do with the 25" tires or all the weight or the 3" spacers on the rear!!!!

Axles and beraings can be removed with snap ring behind brake hub. Dont have to open axle.
