Default Not a fan of Trojan HydroLink System !!

As some of you remember I was trying to find a source for stock battery caps for my T-875. Well I finally got a set and this morning I pulled all batteries and replaced the HydroLink system. This is what I found.

12 cells were at proper level
4 cells were filled to the very top
7 cells were low
1 cell was right at top of battery cell (float was stuck)

I was expecting to have to add some water, but never expected to have to add almost a gallon. To be fair I figured the floats took up some water displacement.

This forum has talked me out of having a manifold running between batteries, but the post about the batteries blowing up (see 1st photo) put me into action.

Anyone using a fill system please be very cautious.

Thanks all.

M

That first picture scared me, I thought that your batteries blew while you were trying to find regular caps

Thanks for the input.
These systems were designed to cut the man hours required to maintain fleets (50 plus) of carts on a busy course. The losses due to under/over filling was more than offset by the labor savings over the term of the lease.
For the individual owner these systems are too risky in my opinion.

You would have heard the scream all the way from Destin if that was the case.

Sorry I edited post to be clearer.
