I would sasy offhandedly that shortened run time would be the down fall of running 3 12VDC batteries over 6 6VDC batteries. But for just a few hours a week at best and it being a "2nd" camp cart you ight get away with it. Torque wise I have now idea but I would think it as well would drop. Get ahold of Scottyb, he can lead you straight. Good luck, and post some pics.

It is hard to beat FREE batteries! The key here is a few hours a week......
Hmmm... I would be tempted to get 6 of the free 12v batteries....run them in parallel pairs for 36v and give it a try ..... what the heck? Some people have tried the 3 12v.... none of them ever came back and said it was great! But there was one guy who said he could work around the limited run time. By double-ing up the batteries you may increase the available amps and run times.

Scotty, I toyed wth doing this too, but the cheap 12v batteries I have access to are a much different form factor (group number) than the 6v golf cart batteries the cart was designed for. He'll have to make sure his batteries will fit unless he's luckier than I was (or there's another trick I haven't learned yet). George
