36v to 12v wiring help needed
Howdy,
Ok so I have a 36 v system that I want to run headlight/tail lights and a propeller ( changing the cart from Red Baron to a WWII fighter). Using an old trolling motor. Anyway...I get that I need to use an inverter and I am using one rated at 30 Amp so I can add more stuff later if I want. My question is, how do I run multiple accessories off of the 2 wires coming out of the inverter? I'm thinking I need a fuse block with multiple fuses like the pic attached. so If I have my positive coming off the inverter going into the fuse block, and I then run wires from t he fuse block to my accessories, what then do I do with my ground wires coming off my accessories and with the ground wire still unconnected from the inverter? Thanks, Kris |

OK so a buss bar acts as a type of collective ground? all the ground leads coming off my accessories will be connected to the bus bar thenone wire will go from the bus bar to the neg on the batery pack?
also, there are 2 wires coming out of the inverter, where does the ground go for that one? Sorry, I really struggle with electrical stuff |

Okay so what throws people is the common ground for 36 and 12v system. Which I assume you figured out judging by your last post.... So this pic is one of my favorite related subjects.

Ha...yeah saw a boat like that once, one battery with a spider web of wires coming off the terminal.
The electrical stuff always confuses me. I can weld, fix appliances, build sheds. But stick a wire on something and my brain goes to mush. |
