Re: 48 volt electric cary speed
Oh thats a can of worms. It depends on what it is and what kind of shape its in etc etc. A regular plane jane later model cart stock say from 93 up shouldn't really go no faster than 20mph. ("incapable of exceeding 20 miles per hour" NHTSA but...whatever) Anywhere from say 15-20 should be normal for a stocker. If its an older cart I've seen them go 12-13 mph. Most likely has issues if it goes that slow, old age, wear etc.
Just depends on what it is. |

Re: 48 volt electric cary speed
Mine goes 13 mph max. Any ideas of a easy way to increase the speed? I have already air up the tires to 30 PSI (35 is the max)

Looks like a sepex controller....'separate excitation'.

Re: 48 volt electric cary speed
is a separate excitation a good one? could it be a reason my cart is going slow (like 13 mph)?

Re: 48 volt electric cary speed
13 is what my stock 2003 EZGO TXT series cart runs.....and that's downhill with a tail wind. I believe your cart should be probably be slightly faster stock....but not much. The good news is a few hundred dollars in upgrades (controller, solenoid, and cable set) and a new battery pack should push you up into the mid-20's.
