Default Battery Question

I have a 48v golf cart I use all the time. Have over 1000 miles on it in a year and a half. Some trips are 30+ miles. I have Trojan 8V x 6 batteries.

Here is my question: I rarely (once just a small amount) have to add distilled water. I was checking every 2 weeks at first now I check every 2 months. I always plug in cart when I get back to the garage. Is this bad? My previous CC cart with 48V I was adding water every 2 weeks or a month at max. Same battery model. Not complaining here, just curious. Both carts started with new batteries.

Thanks for any thoughts...

From your signature, it appears that your new cart is a much newer cart and also a very significant upgrade from your previous cart. Newer electrics and probably a higher quality changing system. Even though the batteries are the same, those in the new cart are being treated much better by their overall system.
