Re: Early bad boy buggie??
I have an '06 BadBoyBuggie Classic, and I don't know how much earlier than that they were made. Mine has the logo all over it. Mine is 48 volts and two motors, but only one F/R switch. I'm having a controller problem with it and can't find anybody with much info to help. I do have some wiring diagrams I can send, but it seems like there were some models that had two controllers. Mine has only on, a Navitas. Let me know if you want me to send these drawings.

Pictures would help a lot. Take pictures of the controller, solenoids, motors etc.

Hey Revolution,
I read some posts from you about a BBB Classic you bought and rewired for 72 volts.(or you were planning to) So what controller did you decide to use? |

Re: Early bad boy buggie??
Thanks for comments, did find this B199 and ser # 1149668.
I have read that it was made in 1999 app. The question I have is it has a white-rogers 48 volt solenoid with 4 post, the big post break the positive and the two small ones turns it on and off. Now there is a diode between them, I guess to stop me from hooking it wrong. LOL One has a black wire which is ground hooking to the main battery ground going into controller. The positive side has red wire going to controller and a yellow going to a micro switch on forward and reverse. When in forward I think, the micro switch closes and the other side of switch has a green wire going to the pot control of throttle. Now when I bought it about 6-8 yrs ago this is how it was hooked up. All I did was take batteries out and put Lith. in not marking all the tiny wires coming off the wet cell batteries. I and planning on putting a DC to DC converter 48 volts to 12 to run lights, meters etc. Now I can not find where the key turned the solenoid on and off.????? |

Re: Early bad boy buggie??
I used 2 alltrax axe7245's one for each motor. Alltrax has a wiring diagram for using two axe controllers with one throttle. If I had stayed at 48 volt I would have used one of their 800 amp controllers. I wanted 72 volts and didn't think one 450 amp controller would be a good idea running two motors.

Thanks, I think I'll study up on that. It's sure hard to find anybody who's willing to work on this Navitas controller and the retrofit ITS.

Re: Early bad boy buggie??
Yes, I may have a diagram that would help. I sent my Navitas controller to FSIP to be rebuilt, but when I re-installed it, there was no difference. The problem turned out to be the potentiometer mounted on the accelerator pedal. Water had gotten into it somehow. When I replaced it, the buggy went back to work. WhileI was trying to find the problem, though, FSIP sent me some diagrams that were more useful than any I've seen before. I may need your email to send them.
