Extending the charge cord question
I was wondering if anyone has wired their battery charger to a reel up extension cord. With the way my garage is, I want to mount my charger up on the ceiling, then use a retractable reel to put the charge cord back up out of the way.
Is this possible if I use heavy gauge wire? Will it effect the or damage the charge process? |

Re: Extending the charge cord question
I've been using a reeled cord for at least 2 years now without issues. Cord is 40 feet of 12ga. plugged in a 20amp circuit, shared with a freezer.

Re: Extending the charge cord question
Are you talking about the cord that plugs into a receptacle or the cord that plugs into the cart?

Re: Extending the charge cord question
I will get the reel tomorrow, I just want to make sure the length of the cord going to the cart won’t mess things up for charging the batteries. If it won’t screw things up, I will post pics on here for the setup

Re: Extending the charge cord question
When I purchased the DPI the seller said he had a long cord for a CC and asked if I wanted it cut shorter . I said hell no , the longer the better . I just didnt know it was well over 20' and happy .
