TourGo 48V Golf Cart single seat
Hello all... first post here and I appreciate your time. I have been carting for years and have had Club Cars during most of that time. While looking for a used charger for my older ds I spied this sigle seat cart on craigslist. It has what appears to have a ds back bumper, yamaha ignition, ohio motor company motor and what looks like an ezgo front body. Planning to purchase a top and have my welder friend make the roof supports and single back seat set up. If anyone has information on this cart please let me know. I searched all over and found very little info on this little dude.
Thanks |

Re: TourGo 48V Golf Cart single seat
If i recall correctly, the tourgo was produced as a rolling chassis in china, for a british company that installed their own drive system. It was primarily a disability cart but some were used for golf and adapted to carry a bag on the rear. There was no affiliation with any of the major cart manufacurers and the company " Tour one group" are no longer active and have not been for many years i believe. Their website has been inactive for a while too. "https://www.tourone.com" I am afraid you are on your own with this one, but maybe if you have any electrical issues, a disability cart company may be able to find spare parts that may work on it. I hope this helps, and that my memory is OK.
The company that provided the controller however is still active as far as i know, "https://www.4qd.co.uk" |

Re: TourGo 48V Golf Cart single seat
Thanks for the replies and that valuable information. It is a heavy solid cart and seems to have a decent ride. According to the story spun by the seller it was used for a season at a race track by a British couple that had moved to the States. It supposedly sat in their garage while they went back to England to jam with the Stones. They had just thrown in four fresh J18 12V batteries. I figured for $1,100 it would serve as a fun winter project designing custom solutions for roof, seating, scuff no step protectors ans a vinyl wrap. Added some pictures for any ideas for readily available solutions that anyone my spot on the cart. I also added a picture of the motor. The mounting system for the top will have to be thought out so I included pictures of that as well. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
I will be sure to update this thread with the progress of the planned vinyl wrap, custom top and rear seating installations. Hopefully it will look good when it is finished for next Spring!!! It's only like 120 days away!!!!!!! |

Re: TourGo 48V Golf Cart single seat
nice set of fat tires on the back and skinney's up front, widen the seat for two people, angle the steering column slightly and a redesigned front along with a trunk lid, maybe even stretch it to get the right look, i think it would be a real one off roadster/hot rod. it looks like this one was actually built for golf rather than an invalid carriage. I have only ever seen the invalid one until now.
It looks to be in excellent condition too. grabbed yourself a real deal without a doubt. i will be watching to see what you do with it. |
